What a wonderful quotation it is? In sync with it, I shall focus my conversation on the odessey of "Anatomical Society of India - Madhya Pradesh Chhattisgarh Chapter" (ASI – MPGC) run by Progressive Anatomical Education Society and its future plans. It was the month of Jan 2023. Myself, while taking a stroll with respected Prof. Dr. G. P. PAL sir (Index Medical College, Indore, M.P.) and Prof. Dr. MANISH PATIL sir (Head, Dept of Anatomy, RD Gardi Medical College & Research Centre, Ujjain, M.P.) that an idea flashed about providing the Anatomists of Central India - a common platform to keep them updated about recent advances in the field of research & teaching methodology. With an intent to reify our brainchild, I can still recall the day -Tuesday, 13th January 2023, making use of virtual medium and discussing the concept with other doyens of Anatomical fraternity, a whatsapp group was floated - ASI-MPCG Chapter. Eventually a society registered under the name of – Progressive Anatomical Education Society (PAES) was formed, basic democratic ethos were followed and an electoral process for this society is contemplated and the faculties registered as “life-members”. In the capacity of President, PAES, I must bring to the fore, acknowledge the efforts made and appreciate the initiative taken by Team Anatomy- RD Gardi Medical College & Research Centre, Ujjain, M.P. for organizing the inaugural edition of "ASI-MPCGCON" on 22, 23 April-2023 ; that too on very short notice accomplished with a great success. Maintaining the chronological order and following the trend, we plan to hold a conference every year in different Medical Colleges of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. The caravan won't stop here. We propose to conduct hands-on workshops and training for faculties and Post Graduates, launch an Indexed Journal as per NMC norms.
